Product marketing manager shall be responsible for preparation of MRD. This document shall cover mainly:
- Requirements from the market opportunity perspective based on inputs from market trends, customer feedback/expectations/interactions on existing products and competition products, internal ideas/innovation.
- Non functional requirements such as performance requirements, Memory expectations, user experience etc. those are required to effectively address the market opportunity.
- Timeline requirements for releases
- Cost/budget expectations/limitations [to be competitive in the market]
- Positioning requirements [IP only player, integrated player, local or global player/solution, value driven or price driven etc.]
- Documentation requirements mainly intended to be shared along with licensing of the IP/solution.
- Legal requirements [if any]
